I had a punch class this week due to popular demand, with hardly any stamping.
I know there has been about a gazillion of these Pansy cards on the net created with the butterfly punch- well, here’s my version and I feel like I’m the last person to try this, but I’m glad I did as the reaction from people when they make one is always- Wow!
My version is water coloured with re-inkers on the new Shimmer Paper, which seems to stand up to being misted as there is that shimmery coating on it which makes it different to Whisper White and cheaper than Water colour paper (LOL). If you look closely you can see the shimmery speckles on those petals. What a bonus!
My leaves have been punched with the wing of the bird punch and the veins have been added with the pointy end of my bone folder.
This next one features THAT birds wing again creating Tulips this time. The leaves and stems are created from the birds body.
I’ve used two new beautiful colours- Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight. The Tulips have been sponged on the edges with sponge daubers for a bit of extra definition.
The idea and the layout for this one comes from one of Marelle’s past cards although I can’t locate it on her blog to provide a link.
You probably recognise this one from page 16 of our new Catalogue. Such a beautiful card with the gorgeous ‘Blushing Bride’, I just had to case it.
Hope you’ve enjoyed a few of my punch cards and thanks for stopping by.
